Zilvervos
~

Established 1983.

Zilvervos is a small but select Kennel dedicated to breeding sound, healthy Keeshonden.  We are a mother (Gill Parry) and daughter (Deb Parry) team that have been showing this wonderful breed since 1983.

Our first Keeshond was bought originally as a pet.  'Bonzo', aka Ch. Woodella Enrico gave us 11 wonderful years of companionship.  He was our very first show dog and we learned how to groom, exhibit, train and enjoy our first dog shows through this boy.

Bonzo was quickly followed by our foundation bitch, 'Pepper', or Ch. Ryfrost Snow Mane as she was formally known.   I fell in love with her sire and just had to have a puppy from him.  Pepper produced two litters for us, her first to the gorgeous Ch. Rymiska Kzam, giving us our first homebred champions.

We have never bred more than two litters from any of our bitches.
Our first litter arrived in 1985, and to date we have bred and/or owned
12 litters, 21 Champions and numerous Best in Show,
Best in Group and Royal Best of Breed winners.
Zilvervos is also the home of South Australia's ONLY Grand Champion Keeshonds and the Australian Breed Record Holder.

We are very proud of our dogs' achievements.

In 1999 with the help of Joanne Reed of California, 'Frisco', aka Grand Ch. Windrift's American Prodigy (Imp.USA) joined our small kennel.   Frisco was followed by 'Katie', Grand Ch. Clandara LA Woman in 2002, a Frisco daughter imported from New Zealand and bred by Ron & Karen Frew.   In 2004  Utopia D'Arlande  joined us from France, bred by Claude Grange and in 2006 we again bought in from New Zealand, Clandara Vixen, a Frisco Granddaughter.  These four Keeshonds are now the start of a 'new' Zilvervos, combining some of the best Keeshonds from around the World.

"Bonzo"

Bonzo with dummy

Bonzo was such a character, evident from just 8 weeks of age!!   Seen here with a dummy or pacifier in his mouth, Bonzo charmed his way into everyone's lives.  Named after the Led Zeppelin drummer, John 'Bonzo' Bonham, he will always hold a special place in our memories.  R.I.P. Bonzo, missed by all at Zilvervos.
