This site gives you information on poems, points you to some prose and provides a contact point for classes and workshops, editing and play-writing, reading and speaking engagements and study trips overseas with the Australian poet, Chris Mansell.

Called 'a significant voice in Australian poetry' (see some reviews of Mortifications & Lies in analysis + critiques) and has been deeply engaged in poetry for many years. Mansell has an articulate take on what she does (see the note on her poetics). She writes, gives writing classes and reads extensively and has won and been short-listed for a number of awards.

For a sample of Mansell's work, including some new media poems, go to poems section of this site.

The new book from Kardoorair Press. (For a review of this book go to Stylus.)

Patricia Prime describes Mansell's Love Poems in Stylus magazine as:

...a compelling book that mines the hurt of human life to great effect. It contains tragedy and irony, splashes of humour, failure, love, insight and song. Here is a journey anyone can undertake. The paths are all clearly marked. But beware. Once set on such a beguiling, vivid journey, there may be no arriving at a safe destination.
