For over five decades Denford Machine Tools Ltd have held a
reputation for excellence and durability. Originally manufacturers of
high-quality conventional machines, Denford recognised their importance and
potential of microprocessor controls at an early stage and became the first
manufacturer in the world to develop a Computer Numerically Controlled lathe
specifically designed for technical training.
Research and Development has been focussed upon producing a wide variety of
machines, control systems and software; and today Denford products range from
desk-top CNC training machines to larger CNC lathes, milling machines and
machining centres for advanced technical training and production applications.
In line with industry's growing trend towards unmanned machining, Denford now
produce Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) and Computer Integrated
Manufacturing Systems (CIM), modular in design, enabling these high-level
engineering concepts to be taught in educational establishments. Denford are
also leaders in the use of Virtual Reality in education in marketing the Superscape
virtual world development software.
