Desktop Process Control Trainer
Lab Volt have announced release of their new Process Control trainer Model 6090, designed to familiarise students with the fundamentals of instrumentation & process control. It demonstrates the control of flow, pressure, level, temperature and pH processes. It can also demonstrate advanced process control techniques such as feedforward control and cascade control, when used with a controller featuring those functions.
The basic trainer demonstrates PID control of flow, pressure and level processes. It comes with a variable speed pump, a tank, a level column, two-way valves, hoses, a venturi tube, a rotameter, and a differential pressure transmitter. Also provided is a work surface consisting of a solid-metal perforated plate hinged to a drip tray, or tiltable to 45 deg, the work surface provides a large area on which components can be mounted.
