We have survived the Y2K Bug and we have survived the Mobil Fuel Contamination Crisis! We have a few Aircraft still flying and will have the whole fleet back on line within the next few days. We hope to see a lot more happy flying faces around in the near future.

With the new century almost upon us, time is running out to make the most of 1999. We're well into Spring and summer is just around the corner. So blow the dust off those flight manuals and maps, and fly some place.

Survived the traffic of Avalon '99? Tristar Aviation flew between 80 and 100 people to and from the airshow over the weekend of the Avalon International Airshow this year. We thank those of you who chose to fly with Tristar and hope to see you back for Avalon 2001!

We managed to take some nice photos over the weekend, and we hope to share these with you soon, when we open our photo gallery area.

So far this year, we've welcomed some more new faces to Tristar, Warrnambool base operations are well under way, 1st round of theory courses almost completed, and added more aircraft to our fleet. Good bye 1998, Hello 1999 !

Congratulations on making it through another year, and here's to 1999 for us all...let it be a year of many happy flying hours, good health and prosperity.

This year promisees to bring many interesting events to light...the new European currency, referendum on Australia becoming a republic, amongst a few. But lets not forget the most important event this year...the International Airshow at Avalon, 16-21 February. It's an event not to be missed by any aviation enthusiast. It'll probably be crowded, dusty, hot, parking as always a nightmare, but lets face it, who could miss the smell of burned jet fuel, the beat of the engines on those old war birds, and the variety of flying machines great and small, not to mention formation and aerobatic displays.

Tristar Aviation can help you get over at least one of those little problems associated with the Airshow...the parking! Our monthly news letter - the Tristar Times - is now available on-line. The news letter contains the latest happenings at Tristar, from fly-aways and parties, to Theory course schedules and articles from our instructors and students. The October issue is on-line now!

Since we first went to air on the Web, we've seen quite a few changes around Tristar.

We now have a small base in Warrnambool (South West Victoria), providing practical flying training to students in the area studying a Diploma of Aviation.

Along with the expansion into regional Victoria, we've acquired a number of new flight instructors and students.

Operations at Moorabbin are now stepping up with the onset of spring and finer weather, which always seems to bring out more of us VFR pilots.

Along with changes in the field, over the next few weeks, we'll be improving our web site, to provide potential students and general aviation enthusiasts a friendly and informative site.

At the moment the site is undergoing some re-construction and not all areas of the site are accessible, so we ask that you try them again in a few weeks.
