PHOTOGRAPHS

Photographs form the surviving record of Tim Johnson's performance, installation and conceptual work from the 1970's. As such they became artworks in their own right. Photographs are also used as a source of imagery for paintings particularly photos taken in Alice Springs, Papunya and Kintore in the 1980's and photos of buddhist practice today. Sometimes these photos have a unique interest of their own. Like the two depicted here - one from Papunya in the 80's and one from France in the 90's.
