MUSIC
Music has had a big influence on my painting as well as providing content and subject matter for audio tapes, a record, CDs, videos and performances. I've exhibited my own music as tapes and CDs and created installations that include CDRoms and more recently DVDs. This was expanded to include rare live recordings of poets and musicians I liked. I documented 70's bands with audio tape and super 8 movies and did one off performances with my own band in galleries, using documentation of this for new artworks. I also painted punk and new wave bands from the 70's, especially Radio Birdman and did some paintings about the blues. Music and the way it's recorded and mixed has had a strong influence on my painting process.

I've released 3 audio CDs myself - START IT UP, SHORT TERM MEMORY and TUXEDO LAKE (for details visit the shop) working with professional musicians and exhibiting the CDs in my exhibitions. Other Cds in limited editions include Similar recorded with My Le Thi and Yab Yum.
