This last Saturday at Big Mouth was a blast with my debut as a double bassist (and vocals) with Jon Teo and Yuta Hirose on guitars. I had so much fun I didn’t notice my right index finger had turned into one big blister after 3 hours. I am currently wearing my war wound with pride… actually it’s more like “Hey, wanna see something gross...?”.

If Jon and Yuta keep up the good work, we may see the double bass permanently grafted to my side. They have an operation I can undergo to do that apparently...

For the Grand Final weekend, during our Saturday time slot, the world is apparently coming to an end as people would rather watch the football than listen to us play. So we will be having END OF THE WORLD PARTY on FRIDAY 28 September from 5-7pm with Jazz Guitars @ Big Mouth instead of the usual Saturday time slot! Be there, come nude... or not.

For our END OF THE WORLD PARTY, we will also have special guest Gary Rizzolo, master guitar luthier from Tasmania. Gary has built three beautiful guitars which have been an inspiration to me. I will have at least 2 of Gary’s guitars with me, a 6 sting and a 7 string, so come on down for a chance to meet and chat with this genius of the wood (that didn’t come out right but hey... it’s the END OF THE WORLD) and play or listen to a couple of his works of art. Or just ogle... the guitars, not me... me not pretty to ogle at.

Come on down for the END IS NEAR!!!
