Payment for consultation

This is not a bulk billing practice so a "gap" payment will be required in addition to the Medicare rebate. The preferred payment option is payment at the time of consultation by either cheque or credit card (MC VC BC). A receipt will be issued at the time of payment to enable you to obtain a prompt refund directly from Medicare. If you are a pensioner, health-care card holder or have concerns regarding payments please discuss payment options with the doctor or staff.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private hospital insurance you can be admitted to a private hospital or a public hospital as a private patient. It is important to contact your health fund prior to admission to confirm that you are covered and obtain details of costs that will not be covered. It is not advisable to be admitted to a private hospital without health insurance.

Communication with your doctor

After every medical consultation your general practitioner and other specialists involved in your care will receive a letter outlining the details of the consultation including blood tests, results of investigation and changes to your medications. If at any time you require a second opinion, another suitable qualified specialist can be recommended and your medical details promptly passed on.
