From 12 January 2010 during the summer fire season steam locomotives were not operating in the Lakeside — Gembrook section due to the high fire danger in the Wright State Forest. This picture shows DH31 crossing "Bridge 8" between Cockatoo and Wright on the Belgrave bound train on 20 January 2010. Steam locomotives resumed operating in this section about three months later.
