The following series of maps cover the period around the 10 GHz World Record set on the 30th of December, 1994.
VK5NY/P (South of Adelaide) worked VK6KZ/P near Albany, 400km SE of Perth on the Southern Coast. Distance 1911km. VK6KZ/P also heard and was heard by VK5KK/P North of Adelaide (1923km) but no confirmed contact occurred. Signals were first heard by VK5KK just after 7-30pm local and lasted till 11-30pm local, 30/12/94.
The path from Albany to Adelaide is right through the middle of the High from the Westerne lower section to the small peninsula's right of Centre at the bottom of Australia.
