Introduction

In the following weeks, ( more likely months ) I will post the progress of Bumble Bee's restoration back to its former glory.

Bumble Bee is to be restored at the only Fairmont Fitters Shop operating in Australia and restoration is planned to be completed for its inaugural return to operation by September 2004.

If your interested in being part of this exciting restoration project or just want an inspection of the car or its design details please feel free to give me a call..Mark 0427363260

Work Begins June 2004

Bumble Bee was transfered from storage in Queensland to Newport Victoria on the 15th June 2004. A thorough inspection and assement of work required is being undertaken.

Initial inspection has revealed a broken crank in the motor which probably explains why Bumble Bee was taken out of service in the first place.

Like most cars that have been left outside in Queenslands harsh northern climate for some time rust cancer has taken a good hold and the car will require some major work.

Bumble Bee is unique and I am looking forward to the challange if my wallet can stand the pain..stayed tuned!
