provides a nightly guide to what's visible in
the sky, including planetary positions,
eclipses, lunar occultations, conjunctions
and meteor showers. A4 size, opens to A3. Worth it just for the pictures.

Star Charts are a series of 18 maps (nine double-sided A4 pages) by Wil Tirion. They cover the entire sky and show the positions of star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and double and variable stars. The constellation lines are the same as those on the planisphere to make identification easier. The Charts are suitable for use with binoculars or telescope. The charts have a southern hemisphere orientation (with south at the top) and have a water resistant laminate coat to make them more durable when used outdoors. An additional reference guide provides an overall view of all 18 charts, plus instructions about their use and an index to the constellations and major stars. |
