These initials, of course, stand for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is through this process that enquirers are brought into contact with the Church’s teaching and to an understanding of her prayer life.

Normally there are two Enquiry Nights mid-year. Then those who decide to proceed further, be they already Christians or not, gather weekly in a group to pray and to study the faith. All things being equal, they are received into the Church (if already baptised) or baptised (Catechumens is their correct title) at the Easter Vigil of the following year.
