Welcome

In late November 1973 St Mary, Queen of Heaven Parish, Georges Hall, was established by Cardinal Freeman. He entrusted the new parish to the care of Fr John O’Keefe, his first appointment as a Parish Priest. In 1998 St Mary’s Parish
celebrated its Silver Jubilee.

It is an appropriate time to give thanks.

In the first place to God — for the many blessings bestowed over the years in un-countable ways.

And it is our opportunity to thank the many, many people who have built the parish into what it is today. We give thanks for the pioneers who set it on its way — so often at great expense of time, physical labour, and personal effort. We give thanks for the teachers and staff of our school, the generous catechists, the priests, the Brown Josephite sisters, the parish staff, the volunteers in a dozen and one services and ministries — in a word for everyone who has helped St Mary’s Parish grow.

We pray too for those who have died even as we acknowledge their roles, their contribution. May their reward from the Lord be abundant.

This web site is intended to give us pause to think of what has been achieved; to be grateful; and to encourage us for the future whatever it may hold.

God bless,

Peter Neville, Parish Priest.
