She married twice. She married Edward John (Thomas) TAPPING in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, 30 May 1838.⁽¹⁾ (Edward John (Thomas) TAPPING is #777.) Edward was born in Thame, Oxfordshire, England ABT 1803. Edward was the son of John TAPPING and Rebecca ---. Edward died 25 March 1847 at 43 years of age. He was baptized in Thame, Oxfordshire, England, 1803. Religion:. He was released from active duty BEF 1842. Family also migrated to Australia on Simon Taylor with the Caporn family.

The name Edward John was always a mystery but as we now know their Marriage Certificate states his name was Thomas and he signed Thomas Tapping. It is reasonable and we can only hope that he knew his own name. Birth and Death details are provided by others and there can be doubt. The ship Simon Taylor passenger manifest shows TAPPING as Edward John so we must believe that his coloquial name was Thomas. [WM Erlandsen 2004]

She married Thomas BRIGGS in Fremantle, Western Australia, 17 May 1849. (Thomas BRIGGS is #778.)

Catherine immigrated, 20 August 1842. Destination: Swan River, Western Australia.

45 v. William TAPPING (#4609) was born in Butlers Bay, Western Australia 27 July 1846. William died 10 July 1935 in Perth, Western Australia, at 88 years of age. His body was interred 11 July 1935 in Karrakatta Cemetery, WA, Karrakatta Cemetery.

46 vi. Thomas Allen TAPPING (#5100) was born in Perth, Western Australia 18 June 1848. Born after Edward died, no detail of this child known

51 xi. George Henry BRIGGS (#5097) was born in Fremantle, Western Australia 28 March 1861. George died 1925 in Claremont, Western Australia, at 64 years of age.

52 xii. Charles BRIGGS (#5098) was born in Fremantle, Western Australia 25 December 1862.

53 xiii. Alfred Edward BRIGGS (#5099) was born in Fremantle, Western Australia 15 December 1864.
