311. Verna Alberta⁷ LAWRENCE (Albert Edward William⁶, Samuel⁵, Elizabeth (Bessie)⁴ CAPORN, Samuel³, Joshua² CAPORNE, Edward¹) (#579) was born 2 March 1900. Verna died 23 August 1977 in Swanbourne, Western Australia, at 77 years of age. Her body was interred AFT 23 August 1977 in Karrakatta Cemetery, WA, KARRAKATTA LAWN.

She married twice. She married Stanley John GILWHITE 14 June 1922.⁽⁴¹⁾ (Stanley John GILWHITE is #578.) Stanley was born 24 November 1898.⁽⁴²⁾ Stanley was the son of John GILWHITE and Maria Jane READER. Stanley died 7 February 1931 in Kalgoorlie, W.A., at 32 years of age.⁽⁴³⁾ His body was interred AFT 7 February 1931 in Karrakatta Cemetery, WA, Karrakatta Wesleyan. Stanley Gilwhite became sick with TB in 1930 after years of suffering from mustard gas attacks acquired in France during WW1. He went into hospital at Milne Home in 1930 after living at "Tarwonga" 68 St Leonards Avenue, West Leederville with Albert and Rachael Lawrence, Verna Lawrence and Laurel Gilwhite, and Ina Lawrence and Jack from about 1926 - 1931 when he died. Albert and Rachael continued living at Tarwonga until Albert passed on in 1953.

She married Hector Alfred (Dick) BEAZLEY 27 July 1935. (Hector Alfred (Dick) BEAZLEY is #623.) Hector was born 1904. Hector was the son of Alfred BEAZLEY and Mary Margaret WRIGHT. Hector died 10 March 1990 in Atherton Tableland, Queensland, at 85 years of age. His body was interred 3 April 1990 in Karrakatta Cemetery, WA, Karrakatta Lawn. Brother and Uncle to Kim Beazley senior (Federal Minister Education) and junior (Leader of Federal Opposition 1995- )
