Palhalupuk is a dark little cave on a hill in Lhasa around which a shrine is built. The entry hall to the cave is, however, light and airy. I found the young monk sitting at the window, studying his scriptures in the warmth of the sun. I was a little hesitant to intrude but he beckoned me inside cheerfully.
