Saga Dawa in Lhasa. The air was thick with juniper smoke and printed prayers that had been hurled into the wind. Everybody prayed as they walked along but a riot of horns and bells largely drowned this out. Prayer flags were strung up everywhere. Tibetans believe all of this gains merit not only for themselves but all living beings.
