Postcards by the sea, Townsville
Marks on the surface became fleeting moments patterning biographical connection of memories, past and present. These postcards were just visiting like travellers waiting to communicate with new people and diametrical possibilities. The postcards become transitory images awaiting viewer participation to complete the image by adding their text /perceptions.
Postcards by the sea were site specific in 2000 for the Townsville Strand ephemera exhibition and consisted of:
1 x 4.5meters holding 240 hand printed postcards
1 x 1.5meters holding 80 hand printed postcards
