This is one of the most beautiful walks in Sydney.

It will take you past magnificent harbour beaches, luxury homes, through windswept heath, rainforest and woodland. There are a number of aboriginal sites along the way as well, please respect them.

Make sure you are well prepared with food, water, protective clothing and good walking shoes.

Getting There - Manly Start
From Manly you have two options, begin your walk from Manly and catch a bus back from The Spit. Buses leave from Manly Wharf and 144 and 143 are your most direct route. Ask at the information centre for the location of the bus stop.

You can then either catch the same numbered buses back to Manly Wharf or you can catch a bus from The Spit into the city. Buses to the city will have the destination "Wynyard" displayed and a number between 169 and 190. The bus stop for these buses is about 200 metres over the bridge.

Some people do this in the reverse order, catching the bus to the Spit and ending their walk with a cold drink at Manly.

Getting There - City Start
Catch the ferry from Circular Quay then follow the instructions above.
Or catch a bus from Wynyard to The Spit. Any bus numbered 169 to 190 will get you there. Check that the 190 stops at The Spit as some are express buses that go straight through.
