MANLY
Manly is the first of Sydney's magnificent Northern Beaches and as the old tourist brouchures say, it is "Seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care". That was written a very long time ago and I'm sure the person who wrote it would be amazed at the Manly of today. The beautiful beaches are still there but it is no longer the sleepy village it once was. Where Manly once had hotels and guesthouses for country people on their annual holidays, today people come from all over the world to stay in backpacker hostels, bed and breakfasts and international hotels. There are many parts of Manly to explore, the Ocean Beaches, the harbour beaches, the magnificent wilderness to be found at North Head and also on the walk to Clontarf and the Spit. This site has been arranged as a series of tours around Manly, chose one from the list below. |
