This page is dedicated to Rev. Jim De Busch a brother in the Lord who is not afraid to stand up and wave his flag for the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ and the truth of the Gospel. |
I first met Jim when he
advertised in the local paper that he was holding a public meeting for the
purpose of showing some videos. He was in posession of some videos that
demonstrated the un-Biblical behaviour and the abundance of false teaching that
was being spread, as a cancer, throughout the professing Body of Christ, via
the Word of Faith Movement, the Toronto Blessing and the Pensacola Outpouring.
Jim was keen to share this imformation with as many people as he possibly could
and so, my wife, Colleen, and I went along to see what was going on.
When we arrived at the meeting we found that the venue was an outreach work to local Australian Aboriginal youth, some of whom had run into trouble with the law or who had family problems and the general problems that youth have today, be they black or white.
We also found that the meeting was being conducted by two Aboriginal men, one, a pentecostal pastor, being Jim De Busch. Jim is the sort of bloke that you can warm to immediately. He is a non-pretentious, humble and friendly person. Because of our common concern for the things taking place in the churches, we soon became friends and allies in this struggle of challenging church leaders to bring truth back into the pulpits and also, to cause our brothers and sisters, the sheep of God's pasture, to take serious stock of where they stand in the Lord.
Like the rest of us who have been called of the Lord as Watchmen, Jim has had his fair share of abuse and criticism, but that does not deter him from the path. This Web Page is evidence of his game stand in carrying out what God has called him to do.
Jim spent a lot of his young life in the mustering camps working as a wringer (a stockman), on cattle stations in the dry, hot western parts of Australia. He understands what it means to be responsible for the welfare of the herd, or flock, and what measures are necessary to ensure their safety and continued good health. His conversion to Christianity brought with it that accountability to properly shepherd the flock according to the Word that God has given to lead and guide us in these matters.
There are two letters published on this page, one from the District Superintendent of the AOG for the far northern area of Queensland, Australia, written to Jim after he sent personal invites to church leaders to come to his meeting and after the appearing of his advertisement in the local newspaper. As you will see, his efforts were not well received by those promoting such people as Rodney Howard-Browne, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, et. al.
The reference to the word "guts" in the Superintendent's letter is regarding some wording that Jim included in his challenge to the church leaders. He was severely taken to task by a number of Pastors who took offense at his tone and for using such gutter language as the word "guts". Although I do not encourage rough language, in this case I will defend Jim against the hypocricy of some of those who "reproached him, and cast out his name as evil" in this community. My own former pastor, Chris Brock complained bitterly to me over Jim's usage of this word and attempted to use this as support for his case and evidence that Jim was influenced by some other spirit.
The hypocricy of this situation is that on at least three occasions after Chris Brock denounced Jim to me for using the word, he used the same word in his messages to the congregation on a Sunday morning, in front of women and children!!! Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
The other letter is Rev. Jim's reply which keenly reveals the legacy of his outback Australian life.
I believe that anyone with even the slightest amount of discernment will be able to come to a conclusion as to who is speaking on behalf of God and who is speaking on behalf of either himself or some other spirit.

Letter to Jim De Busch

Pastor Laurie Henaway & Rev. Jim De Busch
Dear Brothers
Today I received your brochure advertising a so called unmasking of some present day ministry. Also in the mail, I received several books and videos which I ordered from Pensacola about the ministry there.
I am deeply disappointed at what appears to me to be a very confusing message you are giving in this brochure. You claim to unmask everything from Toronto to Pensacola and some of the Word of Faith preachers of our generation.
I am also deeply disappointed at your provocative, judgemental attitude to your fellow ministers of the Gospel. To claim all men who disagree with you and or have embraced some of the ministry you are labeling as false, are hiding behind their pulpits and don't "have any guts" is a very strong judgement which I can assure you has not come from the Holy Spirit, but out of a judgemental, carnal attitude within you.
Gentlemen, I plead with you, have you been to Toronto or Pensacola? Have you sat under the ministry of the leadership or ministries involved there? Have you sat and listened to Rodney Howard-Brown's ministry, or just isolated statements?
I have personally sat and received ministry in two full weeks of Rodney's ministry. I have, and am still reading and watching the Pensacola Outpouring in which to this date 120,000 souls have come to Christ from all over America. I have sat under the ministry of John and Carol Arnott from Toronto for days and listened to many sermons and teachings in the last-two and a half years from the Arnott's and some of their team. I have visited conferences and put on conferences in my local church, which have helped us to understand what God is seeking to do.
I do not personally endorse every statement made by all of the above ministries or the other ministries which you accuse of operating in a "false anointing", but there is obviously no reason to personally reject these people on that basis. Do you believe that your ministry and beliefs are infallible? Is every word coming out of your mouth perfect? Does this immediately invalidate your ministry? You have already proved that you are fallible, by the tone of the brochure.
I dare to say that you are very uninformed about the content of these ministries you criticize and in personal danger of being those who bring false accusation and judgement upon the Body of Christ. Are you aware that David Wilkenson has personally discipled Steve Hill, the evangelist from Pensacola and that they are in constant communication?
Gentlemen, I plead with you to consider your ways, and seek to become more properly informed, before you make these foolish accusations.
I pray that you will take the time to read, watch and attend conferences, and pray that if there is any element of misinformation in your claims, that you will be honest enough to be quiet in your heart and hold back from accusing so many within the Body of Christ.
Then maybe, ever before you criticize your fellow members of the Body of Christ, that you will intercede for each of us with love in your heart for us, for we love you.
In Jesus' love and mercy.
John Wedrat.
District Superintendent,
A.O.G. Far North Queensland.
PS. I do have books and information which are available to you, if you desire to have further evaluation of this issue.
Kind regards
John Wedrat.

1 Peter 4:17-18 For the time is come that judgment must first begin at the house of God and if it first begin at us what shall be the end of them that obey not the Gospel. And if the righteous scarcely be saved where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
I didn’t say judgment is coming to the House of God, Peter did. Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy - 2 Tim 3:16 & 17 - he said all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God be perfect, thoroughly, furnished unto all good works. I don't dissect Scriptures and try to make Scriptures mean what I want or justify men who confess to be Shepherds of the Most High God and are not. If preachers are confused by the contents of the pamphlet then all I can say is that Apostle Paul said - 1 Cor 14:33 - For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all churches of the saints, so there must be a element of truth in what I am doing.
I come from the Rural Industry and we work sheep, cattle, horses, donkeys and mules plus cattle and sheep dogs. When we see a symptom or disease in the flock we try and identify what the sickness is then destroy the carrier and bury it. When we see eagle hawks, dingoes and foxes lurking close towards new born lambs and calves we put out poison baits and traps to destroy them. If they survive the poison and traps we instruct all employees to shoot them on sight. In the wet season blowflies are common so we crutch the sheep and spray them, protecting them from the blowflies. When we see the condition of the stock deteriorating we call a - Vet - expert in animal husbandry in to ascertain what the problem is and what action to take.
I recognise a disease in the Body of Christ and I know the source, but Shepherds today are not alert, dull, have no backbone, to scared to rock the boat and looking for the spectacular instead of lifting up Christ Jesus.
Luke 21:7-36 - Christ told His disciples to take heed and then went to great depth to explain what to look for. :34 He said take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, and the cares of this world, and so the day come upon you unawares.
Mark 13:5 - Christ said to take heed lest any man deceive you and went on to say in :21 not to go to where He is professed to be and not to believe them so I don't have to go to Canada or America. In :32 Christ said that these so called prophets shall arise and shall shew signs and wonders; to seduce if it were possible even the elect.
2 Thess 2:1-17 - Apostle Paul told us what to expect and the falling away is a sure sign today, :4 is where we see the wolves in sheep clothing so the enemy has camouflaged them but none will remain uncovered accordingly to what Christ said Luke 12:2. In :9 is the sign of this deluded movement. In :10 we see those that are deceived will not accept the truth and that's sad because in John 8:32 Christ Jesus said that only the truth will set us free. In :11 we see clearly that God will send them strong delusions and they will have pleasure in unrighteousness. This Prosperity, Toronto and Pensacola movements is an abomination and full of strong delusions and if ministers embrace these movements they are not fit to stand behind a pulpit.
As I see it the wolf is amongst the sheep in sheep clothing and the Shepherd that Christ placed there to look after His sheep are opening the door to the wolf and because they are deceived they have NO discernment.
No, I am not infallible, but I have taken notice when someone stands up for what is right and it goes against what the hierarchy accepts especially in mainline Pentecostal churches today they claim people are judgmental.
The Word of Almighty God is the Judge, I Thess 5:21 Apostle Paul told us to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. I get phone calls and letters and your letter does not surprise me, people are obviously under strong delusions and if people are confused they need to remember that God is not the author of confusion so they should repent, turn away from this abomination that is called the Faith, Toronto and Pensacola movement.
I was saved, and baptised in the Holy Spirit, taught in a mainline Pentecostal movement in the early 70's and 80's that the Holy Spirit was a gentleman, that the Spirit was subject to the Prophet, to let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge, and to check all ministry by their fruit.
People tell me to check the fruit of these movements and all I see is people in uncontrollable laughing, barking like dogs, howling like wolves, pretending they are elephants, monkeys, chickens and it goes on and on. The fruit is contaminated, this movement has split families, churches and friends and all I see is rich ministers, and hurting people. It is another gospel, another christ and I am reminded that when Christ Jesus was hungry, He saw a fig tree at a distant, the tree had all the signs that it should of had fruit but when He got closer it had none so He cursed it. I believe the same will happen today as we get closer to His second coming.
Yes I intercede for those who are under strong delusion that God will take away the scales from their eyes, that they repent and return to their Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. Yes I do love the sinner but not the sin and corruption.
People need to take the time to check out where I am coming from and take the time out to view some of the many videos and reading material we have in our library concerning these false movements. I wont bury my head in the sand like an ostrich and hope the enemy goes away. King David ran to face the enemy in the name of the Lord of Hosts, he used a sling and one stone against the enemy and slew the giant. I also use a sling, I speak what I believe God gives me irrespective of what the mainline Pentecostal Churches hierarchy say today and I stand on the promises that are mine.
Phil 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but how much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

A closing comment.
You will notice in the letter written by the AOG Superintendent that there is a reference to David Wilkerson. The paragraph reads:
I dare to say that you are very uninformed about the content of these ministries you criticize and in personal danger of being those who bring false accusation and judgement upon the Body of Christ. Are you aware that David Wilkenson has personally discipled Steve Hill, the evangelist from Pensacola and that they are in constant communication?
While he is correct in reporting that Steve Hill, the evangelist at Pensacola, was discipled by David Wilkerson, he is not correct in his report that Steve Hill and David Wilkerson are currently in constant communication. Nothing is further from the truth. These kind of statements - name dropping it is called - are used by people who want to give their argument credibility and cause their detractors to flee in doubt and confusion. This statement was aimed to cause Jim De Busch to buckle at the knees and retreat in guilt and shame. However, David Wilkerson is vehemently opposed to what is happening in these so called 'new moves of god' and if he was in communication with Steve Hill at all, it would only be to rebuke him and call him to repentance.
You see, what has happened to John Wedrat is that he has been duped by disinformation and outright lies and is, therefore, showing HIMSELF as uninformed. This claim in his letter shows that he is willing to repeat things that he hears, without first establishing that what he has heard is, in fact, truth. What he has claimed is easily checked. He can just ring David Wilkerson or send him an E-mail and ask him personally what he thinks about the Word of Faith Movement, the Toronto Blessing and the Pensacola fiasco? While he's at it he should ask David Wilkerson what he thinks about people such as Benny Hinn or Marilyn Hickey and others that the AOG hierarchy bring to Australia to be guest speakers at their leader's conferences. He may be a bit troubled at David's response.
Do you know that this is probably one of the most significant problems plaguing Christendom today? We are informed by our leaders and 'guest speakers' of certain things that are supposed to have happened here, or some other thing that is supposed to have happened there. However, the stories and reported events are never checked out at their source to substantiate their truthfulness. And we just accept the reports as fact and move further away from a love of the truth into deeper and deeper deception. God's Word commands us to "test all things" and that includes stories emanating from the mouth of the visiting evangelist.
