The diorama shows the loco stopping at the sanding tower to take on sand then the water crane is positioned and the loco reverses into position. When water filling is complete the locomotive moves forward to the coaling station to take on coal and the water crane returns to the default position. With sand, water and coal loaded the locomotive is ready for service. YouTube Link added.
