Acne Rosacea - now considered to be a misnomer

Ocular Rosacea

Although many people experience rapid improvement, especially where there is demodex involvement, lasting and durable results in the form of fewer and less severe pimples, papules, pustules or other skin lesions takes several weeks to months.

It is important to remember that rosacea is a progressive skin disease that takes many years to develop. It has no single cause and no cure, only management.

There are rosacea treatments that work. In the case of azelaic acid, up to 80% of patients can expect significant improvement in their symptoms. 77% of patients who continue to use their rosacea therapy as directed remain in remission, with no flare-up in symptoms. 42% of those who did not continue therapy had a relapse.

Azelaic Acid works best when integrated into a professional rosacea skin care regimen such as those provided by the Rosacea Treatment Clinic to treat all the skin's layers (Azelaic Acid is a largely superficial treatment).

Although Azelaic acid is easy to use and quick to apply, following directions exactly and ensuring you do not allow your rosacea treatment to lapse is essential in procuring good and durable results.
