"Ringo"

Australian Champion Weedram Attention Seeker UD (“Ringo”) was bred by Fay Philp of Weedram Kennels and was proudly owned and exhibited by Rae Officer.

Ringo had a distinguished and illustrious career in both the show and obedience rings. He won Best in Show at the BSDNSW Specialty Show in November 1996, and he was also the first Groenendael to be awarded an International Challenge Certificate (CAC) at the Spring Fair in November 1995, at the age of 15 months. Ringo commenced Obedience Training at the age of 18 months and excelled as an Obedience Dog, having achieved his CD, CDX and UD Titles by the age of 3 years.

He always took part in the Obedience Trials and Massed Obedience Displays at the Sydney Royal Easter Show each year, and regularly represented the Eastern Suburbs Dog Training Club at Trials and Events, and was the highest scoring dog for this Club in 2002.

Ringo with his gentle, loyal and loving manner was always a favourite with everyone he met, a "true gentleman", and a wonderful ambassador of the breed. He departed us in October 2008 and is very much missed by Rae and all who knew him.
