The Johnson Society has a new President. At the Annual
General Meeting on Saturday, September 13 our founding President, Clive
Probyn, announced that he was standing down in accordance with the constiututional
requirement that the President should serve no more than four years in
that office.
The then Vice-President, Paul Brown (also a founding member of the society),
was voted in as President. Accepting the position, Paul paid tribute to
Clive for his four years of service and the valuable contribution he had
made to the affairs of the JSA.
Our new Vice-President is another founding member, Kevin Hart, who has
given valuable service as Editor for the past four years.
As a result of the changes, Paul Tankard was elected as Editor, and Bronwen
Hickman (another founding member) also came on to the committee.
Clive Probyn has agreed to continue helping the committee as Immediate
Past President, and we will continue to benefit from his input. After the
AGM, Clive delivered the fourth Fleeman Memorial Lecture.
