Kangaroo Johnson

draws publicity

We were delighted to receive several copies of The Johnson Society's Transactions for 1996, which featured a reproduction of John Spooner's cartoon of Johnson imitating a kangaroo.

The copies were sent by the Johnson Society's Literary Secretary, Dr Anne Wilson, who had earlier seen the cartoon in The Southern Johnsonian and requested a copy for including in their Transactions.

In the Secretary's report in the Transactions, the visits of John Byrne, Clive and Meg Probyn and Bryan Reid to Lichfield were gracefully acknowledged.
