TULIP is a computer program for the lighting of Tunnels and Underpasses in accordance AS/NZS 1158.5: 2007, CIE 88 - 2004 and BS 5489-2 2003.
The program allows the designer to model a tunnel by setting tunnel
dimensions, zone lengths and Luminances and luminaire arrangements for the whole
tunnel and for all Switch Levels.
Luminance and Illuminance can be calculated for all tunnel surfaces in all zones individually and include reflected light if desired.
Threshold Increment can be calculated for observers in all lanes viewing the road surface in each zone.
Calculated parameters are displayed graphically in three dimensions.
Statistical information is displayed for each surface.
Comparison Limits for parameters are set by the program according to the selected Standard and any user overrides.
The program uses colour to show compliance or otherwise of a Statistic with a Limit in addition to displaying the numerical value.
Text Report and Graphic views may be printed.
