Seeing Eastern Greys at Jenolan

It tends to be very easy to see Eastern Greys at Jenolan. When Jenolan is approached using the road that leads back to the Great Western Highway, the turnoff to the Jenolan Caves Cottages is passed about 10km before the caves. It is easy to find this as it is clearly signposted. Follow the road to the cottages whereupon you will discover a large grassy clearing. The kangaroos will frequently be found grazing on this area. Remember though that these are wild animals and whilst you can approach quite close you should be aware that they can become aggressive. Feeding them destroys their skills to forage in the wild as well as providing them with foods which their boides have trouble digesting.
