Robert A. Wade O.A.M. AWI, FVAS (Aus.), FRSA(Lon), AWS (USA); KA(USA), ISMP(USA), MHSMA(Mex) The distinguished Australian artist, Robert Wade, has long
been regarded as one of the leading watercolour artists in the world. He is also generally recognised as
one of the world’s foremost golf course painters. A member of the Metropolitan
Golf.Club for over 55 years, playing from a single figure handicap for 40 of
those years, and a Foundation Member of The National Golf Club, he has a deep
knowledge and love for the game, which is translated into the paintings that
he produces of many of the great courses of the world. His work adorns the walls of Golf Clubs in many countries, including the R&A. St. Andrews; The Ryder Cup Room, Wentworth Golf Club, U.K.; World Golf Hall of Fame USA; Wellington G.C. N.Z.; Royal Melbourne, Royal Sydney, The Australian, Commonwealth, Kingston Heath, Metropolitan, Huntingdale, Riversdale, Peninsula, Victoria, Yarra Yarra, The Dunes, Flinders, Woodlands, The National and many more. His painting " The
Eighteenth. St. Andrews" was reproduced on the 1994 Christmas Card of
the United States Golf Association. His work is included in the book
“Golf in Art”, a survey of 300 years of golf paintings.
