Warwick was born in Canberra where he attended the Canberra School of Music; he became a Young Artist with the Victoria State Opera in 1995.  Subsequently, he became a full-time soloist with Opera Australia and won The McDonald’s Aria in 1998.

In the course of his long association with Opera Australia, Warwick has consistently produced outstanding performances in diverse repertoire, including the title roles in Der fliegende Holländer and Rigoletto, Dr Schön in Lulu, Papageno in The Magic Flute; Germont in La Traviata; Schaunard in La Bohème; Peter in Hansel and Gretel; Jupiter in Orpheus in the Underworld; Bartolo in The Marriage of Figaro; Frederic in Lakme; Köthner in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg; the Herald in Lohengrin; Pish Tush in The Mikado; Don Fernando in Fidelio; Capulet, in Roméo et Juliette;  Ottokar in Der Freischütz; Dancaire in Carmen; The Sacristan in Tosca; Pantaloon in The Love for Three Oranges Ping in Turandot and many more.

Roles with other companies include Fasolt in State Opera of South Australia's 1998 production of Der Ring des Nibelungen; Junius in The Rape of Lucretia, The King of Egypt in Aida, Sarastro in The Magic Flute, Sacristan in Tosca, Der Einäugiger Bruder in Die Frau ohne Schatten and The Bonze in Madama Butterfly (Victoria State Opera); Pistola in Falstaff  (West Australian Opera); Bartolo in The Marriage of Figaro  (Opera Hong Kong).

In 2007, he sang Germont, Bartolo and Wolfram (Tannhäuser) for the national company and, in 2008, performed Schaunard and debuted as Leporello in Don Giovanni.  In 2009, he sings Schaunard, Papageno, Amonasro (Aida), Chief of Police (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk) and Pooh-Bah (The Mikado) for Opera Australia and Taddeo in L'Italiana in Algeri for New Zealand Opera.    

Concert engagements include performances with the Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland, West Australian, Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras; the Singapore Symphony Orchestra; the Auckland Symphony Orchestra; the Melbourne Chorale; Sydney Philarmonia; Royal Melbourne Philarmonic Society and the Canberra Choral Society. Concert works include: Orff’s Carmina Burana; Handel’s Messiah; Beethoven's Symphony No.9; Mozart's Requiem; Bach's St Matthew Passion and Mass in B minor; Bruckner's Great Mass in F minor; Brahms’ A German Requiem.

Warwick’s recordings include CD of Brahms Liebeslieder Waltzes Op.52 (Move Records) and The Love for Three Oranges (Chandos).
