retablos: St Joseph of Cupertino (Astronauts)
The indigo sky faded to soft lilac and Alice shivered on this crisp chilly dawn atop Cambewarra Mountain. All those hours alone up there, just to catch a glimpse of the "Southern Cross" on re-entry after her first epic voyage to Mars. On her plasma screen laptop, Alice anxiously scanned the telemetry from the Parkes and Moree dishes. Not so much as a flicker.

| By Saint Joseph of Cupertino, patron saint of astronauts, murmured Alice, I didn't come up here just for the view! She swung the telescope once more across the blushing dome of the heavens and this time there it was, the unmistakeable glowing trail of the "Southern Cross" hurtling towards the horizon!
