We have a wide range of birds whose habitat is the Mid North Coast and Tablelands
of New South Wales, plus a number of regular seasonal migrants. With a new house and the garden not yet fully established, it will take time to attract many birds. We shall build up our sightings as time goes by. This list is in simple alphabetical order, by the birds' common names as used in Simpson and Day - "Field Guide to Birds of Australia". We have put the bird type first and the descriptive part of the name second. These are the birds that we have seen or heard ourselves, on or close to our property. There may of course be many others! The codes are as follows :- L = Local resident V = Visitor C = Common U = Uncommon R = Rare (at least to our property). |
