My winning 25WOL - NOT!

The competition was simple enough, "Tell us what you think the letters S.W.A.T. could stand for?". The prize was the "Ultimate Action S.W.A.T Pack" valued at $452.70. This competition was going to be tough because there was no purchase hurdles and you didn't even have to buy a stamp as it was an online entry form. At the time, I was pleased to see the following condition,

3. The competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged based on creativity & originality. The best valid entry, as determined by the judges, will win.

If you remember from my book, we can use several ways of tackling this 25WOL, starting with creativity. Looking at the promoter, 1800REVERSE, the light came on and I knew I had an angle. Why not reverse, SWAT to make TAWS, but what could to acronym be? So I jumped onto  for some inspirations. No, that didn't do the trick, but I did come up with an acronym in the form of an acrostic poem.

This had everything, ties in with the promoter, creativity, comedy, phonetic use and I believed original! Rubbing my hands with glee and counting my chickens. I was confidently adding up my prize money.

It is now May and the competition closed March 31st. Reading the terms that "Winners will be notified by mail or email on 8/4/04. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into". I have to resign to the obvious, I did not win, not even a consolation prize.

So if any mailing list subscriber won this competition, and wish to share their entries please send me a note. I am very curious what I did wrong?
