Pen and Brush Publishers was formed in 1989 to fill the void in getting information to
MicroStation users.
Pen and Brush's first venture was the launch of Programming with User Commands
at the 1989 Australian IGUG Conference in Brisbane. The book was an instant success.
In January 1991, Pen and Brush launched
ControlAltDelete, the quarterly
magazine for MicroStation users. This was the first subscription MicroStation magazine and
is currently the oldest magazine on the market. The magazine celebrated its 8th birthday
in January 1998.
In May 1991, Pen and Brush published The Complete Guide to MicroStation 3D and
in June 1991, Programming with MDL 1st Ed. was released. These were followed by the
MicroStation Rendering Book and Using MicroStation Review.
With the release of MicroStation V5, The MicroStation V5 Primer was published in
April 1994. Many training institutions have selected the book as a reference guide to
train all their students.
In August 1995, the new book MicroStation 3D by Examples was released.
In January 1996, the MicroStation V5 Primer was translated into the Korean
language.
In August 1996, the new book for MicroStation 95 called
MicroStation 2D by Examples
was released. The book is extensively used in MicroStation training institutions. In April
99, we released the Second Edition to this book.
The book was updated to incorporate the MicroStation /J environment.
In October 1997, the new book for MicroStation 95 called
MicroStation 3D by Examples 2nd Ed.
was released. The book is extensively used in MicroStation training institutions.
In 2000,
MicroStation 2D by Examples, 2nd Ed was translated into the Chinese language.
In May 2001, The Complete Guide to
MicroStation TriForma was released.
In May 2004,
MicroStation 2D in Practice was released.
