Prayer Ministry & Support for Pastors or Leaders of Churches:

Prayer ministry may help a person who is discouraged about the results of other things they have tried, and they are willing to try some ways of shifting unhelpful thoughts, feelings, reactions and behaviour patterns through prayer and/or meditation on Bible verses. If you know someone who you believe needs more in depth assistance please feel welcome to refer them to this service.

(NOTE: a person does not need to be or become a practicing Christian to try this option)

The main prayer ministry method uses is from the Wonderful Counsellor prayer ministry as delivered through Family Foundations International, an interdenominational ministry. My wife and I are part of the Perth based team that facilitates Blessing Generations and Empowering Relationships seminars (among others). Wonderful Counsellor ministry is the basis of these seminars. If you would like to know more about this interdenominational ministry you could go to http://www.familyfoundations.com/. The goal of the ministry is to improve and bring healing to family relationships and to equip people in your church to do the same things the Perth team does when they provide a seminar in your church. Other Options for Church Leaders:

If you do a lot of counselling in your work and would like support in your work you might approach Owen about clinical supervision.

If you find your work is triggering difficult feelings you may consider using this service as a way of getting through it without necessarily needing to discuss how you are feeling with the organisation where you serve.
