N&GI NSW was established in the 1940's by nursery people to provide a professional body for growers and sellers of quality plants. Over the past 50 years its activities have increased immeasurably and it has developed into a influential organisation looking after the interest of both people and businesses in the nursery industry.

How Does N&GI NSW Operate?

N&GI NSW is administer by a Board of Directors who are elected by and from the Garden Industry members. This board meets regularly and directors are always ready and available to discuss relevant issues with members.

An essential link between the members of the Board of Directors is the N&GI NSW Council. The council is made up of representatives from all the Regional Groups and Special Interest Groups. The Council forms a link with members and makes recommendations to the Board.

NIAN employs several staff to carry out the day to day affairs of the Association, which include:-

  • Responding to member request

  • Replying to general enquires

  • Administering the management of the 6 hectare site at Rouse Hill

  • Administering the operations of the Association

  • Assisting members in gaining maximum benefits from their membership
