There is an auto pilot... called the M.A.R.S device available from the robbing Teladi... As for an empire in 5hrs... well that requires special skills... best thing to do is dump the buster buy a lifter and max it out then trade in EC's for a while and then you'll have enough money to buy a Station... you could always do this in a sector that has Loadsa SPP.. like The Wall and Queens Space... if in QS use a Dolphin! 3000 cargo bay makes for quicker Profit. ------======Erazor======------ Re: Um... I now have 3 different mamoths in argon prime and it still will not work, even doing exactly as you said, giving no orders. Any other ideas :-) > I now have 3 different mamoths in argon prime and it > still will not work, even doing exactly as you said, > giving no orders. > Any other ideas :-) afraid not... If you followed my instructions to the letter and it didn't work then I have no idea whatsoever.. sounds like a bug.. v2 patch should be available for DL tomorrow... that may fix it.. Avis Homepage http://website.lineone.net/~jersworld/ Crystal Fab Posted By: Arsebiscuit Date: 15 Dec 2000, 12:06 Damn! I just bought a crystal fab from the Argon and had it towed all the way to Seizewell so it could supply my SPPs near my factories (X-BTF not X-T). No-one told me the bloody thing would need Meatsteak Cahoonas from Argon systems! My freighters have to travel a minimum of 6 jumpgates to get them. Can you get crystal fabs from other races? If so, do they require different food resources? Re: Crystal Fab Posted By: Erazor Date: 15 Dec 2000, 12:07 In Response To: Crystal Fab (Arsebiscuit) YES and YES... Argnu Beef? YES... best thing to do is save your games and then buy a station and list what it needs re resources then you can reload the game and look elsewhere... Some stations use different resources for the same product look around and you'll see what i mean. ------======Erazor======------ Re: Crystal Fab Posted By: Arsebiscuit Date: 15 Dec 2000, 12:18 In Response To: Re: Crystal Fab (Erazor) Interesting Re: Capturing ships in X-T... Posted By: Demos Date: 16 Dec 2000, 09:27 In Response To: Capturing ships in X-T... (Brok) 1. get behind a ship and target it. 2. fire untill its shields are almost gone (<5%). Use The I key to see the shield percentage. I always shoot the shields so that every blast reduces them to 0. Instead of looking at the percentage, you can use the visual shield indicator (red bar near the crosshair). Shoot untill 0,1 or 2 indicators remain). Watch carefully how many damage each single blast does (before firing the next one), then just time your next shot. 3. Keep this going for a minute. 4. Suddenly (if lucky) the pilot bails out and the ship indicator turns blue. At this point stop shooting...it's your ship now . Command it using the 'C' key. Open your cargobays and capture the pilot (red blop) by flying into him. Sell him as a slave at a pirate base. 5. Not every pilot bails out. Sometimes when I play Xtension nobody bails out, sometimes they jump one after another. 6. Tip: wait for a pirate cargo ship to leave the base to go buy stuff. Halfway between the jumpgate and the pirate base, intercept him and forcr him to bail out (if he refuses, kill him). The pirate base will send another and another ... Pirate ships often have their AHEPT and shields intact when captured. 7. Another tip: when capturing ships from other races, do this in the pirate sectors. This way you will not loose your rating with that race. Do this outside the pirate sectors and you will soon become an enemy of that race.
