Cryonics
Douglas Robertson
2004
He was dying fast of cancer
The symptoms, they weren't nice
The scientist said "I can fix it,
If you'll agree to go on ice"
The dying man agreed
'cause his days were getting fewer
The doctors were going to wake him
when they finally found a cure
Two hundred years later,
they carried out their feat
So, back to life, and cured,
he went out on the street
"But this can't be Australia!
It looks more like Hong Kong
Geez, we mocked the Yellow Peril
but now I see that we were wrong"
"These are not my people
What happened to my land?
What?! - I can't say that?
Such thoughts have now been banned???!"
"I had favoured immigration,
and for the refugees I cried
But I never meant to bring about
White people's genocide"
"Blimey, this is awful,
this oh so hurts my head
If I knew that we'd been sold out
I'd rather have been left dead"
Please, my dear sad listeners,
pay attention to my cry
For, unless you stand up and fight,
your people will surely die
Note: Cryonics is the practice of freezing a dead person in the hope that some future technology may enable him or her to be brought back to life (and often to solve a deadly disease or condition)
