THE GEM &
CARTE DE VISITE
TINTYPE

I wish to purchase carte de visite tintypes with photographers studio imprints on the mount from all parts of the world,  especially examples from Australia, New Zealand, England and Scotland msafier@ozemail.com.au

these could usually fit 16 gems
All of these photos are in VG+ or                                              better condition. The mounts are intact, and cards 2,3,5 and 6 have Photographer's advertising on the                                             back. They are from "A. B. Farrar's                                               Photographic Rooms in Bangor                                                Maine".

Out of this group only #4 is marked Potters patent, but the others look
to be the type. #1 is slipping inside
the mount a little as seen in the
scan, but is intact. Number 2 is
                                               from Farrar's, #4 is from "S. W.
                                                  Sawyer's Photograph and
                                               Ferrotype Gallery Kenduskeag
Bridge Bangor Maine" Number 5 is
                                                from "Trask's Photograph and
                                              ferrotype gallery Bowman's block
                                                (two doors from Whig Office)
Bangor Maine. This lot is kind of a
                                                "who's who of Vintage Bangor
                                              Maine photographers. Numbers 1
and 3 are unmarked on the back.
