There is much confusion amongst humans as to what reality
is.
Some claim reality is a dualism of mind and spirit on the one
hand, and matter and energy on the other.
Others claim that materialism is the way reality is and there is
only one kind of stuff, ie matter and energy. Others agree
that there is only one kind of stuff but assert that it is mind and
spirit. The latter is known as idealism, and while it appears to be
the most outlandish is in fact a useful and practical paradigm for
dealing with reality.
Dogs and Kangaroos are not philosophers, they simply experience
'dog reality' and 'kangaroo reality'.
We will leave the philosophical categories for now and use the term
human reality. Whilst humans may not agree on what
reality is, they do at least share in a general experience we could
term human reality.
Within our human reality we experience stuff, whilst we may not
be able to define stuff, we certainly know our experience, - our
experience is a more fundamental reality in that it is closer to us.
So then working within this framework, what is our reality?
I assert that at our core, humans experience two fundamental
types of stuff: ideas and feelings. Additionally, these
feelings have a 'moral' component - they are experienced as either
good or bad, and we believe these two types of stuff are experienced
as a consequence of something beyond, be that 'the real world' or
other persons or whatever, and we also believe there is an
underpinning pattern to our experiences. We do not believe our
experiences are purely random, and we work with concepts such as
'cause and effect'.
So then summarising: Human Reality is an experience of idea
and feeling in the context of a source and pattern. The source
and pattern we hypothesize about.
OK now lets look at Christianity.
Christianity asserts (as a matter of faith) that God is the
ultimate reality. Christianity asserts that God is a Trinity
of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This pattern matches our core human reality.
Father - Ultimate Source of Reality
Son - The Word - Idea
Holy Spirit - Spirit - Virtue
The Father as source is a deep mystery and best left for
later. We will however attempt to look at the Word/Spirit
aspects of reality
Word/Spirit Interface
It is important that we stress that we do not want to divide
reality into separate non-interfacing boxes such as
spirit/matter. Word/Spirit and its application in human
reality is totally interfacing.
A person who is feeling generous, joyful and pure, is highly
unlikely to be receptive to an idea to injure rob and injure another
person. That action is unlikely to happen. The idea is
more likely to be entertained where a person is feeling the vices of
greed, hatred, and bitterness.
A person who is entertaining the idea of robbing and injuring
another person, is unlikely to be accessing the 'feelings' of generosity,
joy and purity.
It is here we begin to see the true basis of Spiritual
Power.
Christ and Human Reality
Christ offers us an experience of reality beyond the confines of the
normal corrupted human reality.
Human reality has within it an experience of vices and virtues,
and these are apparently part of the pattern of reality.
Something positive happens to an entity, that entity 'feels'
good. Something negative happens to an entity the entity
'feels' bad.
Christ came preaching the Kingdom of Heaven, The Kingdom of God,
the Virtue Matrix, and stated that our feelings are no longer subject to
our environment. If something bad happens to us, we dont have
to feel bad, we can still interact fully with virtues. By
joining with Christ, and being 'born of the Spirit' our vice
infected normal human reality is transcended by Christ's purely virtuous
human reality, and our predominant experience is the core reality of
the Virtue Matrix.
Make no bones about it, Christianity in its full preaching of the
Kingdom of God is a radical and subversive message which has since
the time of Christ has been persecuted by the Worldforces.
The the Virtue Matrix paradigm is seen as too liberating by those who
seek to control societys and individuals. Whilst it is the
other extreme of the psychopathy, the Worldforces see a common problem of
freedom in both the negative psychopath and the positive
Christian. Both walk through walls as if they were not there -
neither are controlled by fear.
