The Veil

image

Beyond Creation in the Eternity of God there is pure unveiled communication, a free and unrestricted knowledge of awesome goodness.

Humanity shared in this at Creation, but lost it at the Fall.  Our choice to embrace the knowledge or perception of both good and evil introduced a veil of shame in our personal relations with both God and other human beings. From the Genesis record we understand sin as veiling the source and the flow of our knowing on a person level.

Whilst humanity's original naked perception was exposed to evil was veiled by sin, it was nevertheless regained it through the death of Christ, and the subsequent work of the Holy Spirit.

In Exodus Moses had to screen his face when he descended from Mount Sinai, Ex. 34:33,35; as the people could not bear to see even the reflected glory of God.

But the veil can be removed 2 Cor. 3:13-16.
