The Person Paradigm
The relational Person
Paradigm stands in contradistinction to the
pyramidal authoritarian
orthodoxy paradigm that has crippled
Christianity.
Ireneus
Authoritarian orthodoxy has been the primary paradigm of the Western
Church since Ireneus'
authoritarian coup in 180 AD when the paradigm of the Kingdom of Heaven was replaced by the temporal Church.
Authoritarian orthodoxy has also
been the primary paradigm of the Western world since Constantine in 310
AD.
Constantine
Ireneus work left the Christian church totally culture blind to the
threat of Constantine and the complete authoritarian
takeover of Christianity's religion of love (agape) in the fourth
Century.
The Roman Emperor Constantines vision “By this sign
conquer” and subsequent
military victory thanks to the use of a Christian symbol has nothing to
do
with the God of Love.
Authoritarian orthodoxy works on hatred and believes the end justifies
the means.
It starts with the hatred of anything heterodox, progressing to actions
such as confiscation and burning of nonconforming texts, and finally
justifying the burning of people 'for the greater good'. It
has
nothing to do with religious denomination. Catholics did it to
Calvinists, Calvinists did it to Anabaptists.
Authoritarian orthodoxy is most aptly personified by 'the God of this
World' correctly identified by Ireneus as Yahweh the Old
Testament God,
who is the antithesis of the lovingly
coinherent Father Son and Holy
Spirit.
Authoritarian orthodoxy continues today like a virus in Christians
thinking, yet thanks to the work of the Holy Spirit awakening
Chiristians to worshipping the God of
Infinite love and goodness, an
amazing opportunity has now presented itself.
The Kingdom of Heaven
For those of us who truly love Jesus Christ (True Worshippers) and
whose love
of truth exceeds our fear of heresy, we are in the perfect position to
take closer look at the early church. Not only to learn from
their
mistakes, but to leave the Church for the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus preached.
Heaven
Now.
