Indigenous Science Network

February 1999

Greetings to all correspondents of the indigenous science network and welcome to 1999.

Glen Aikenhead has been in touch with some advice on "Cultural studies in science education: Students' indigenous cultures versus the culture of science". This is a workshop for NARST 99 and a series of papers is being posted on a website. You can access the papers at

www.ouhk.edu.hk/cridal/misc/narst99.htm

You will be able to make comment on the issues raised by the authors and respond to comments already made by others through the website. The discussion will last from now until 15 March, and will be used to inform the participants at the NARST meeting.

The following paper has been published recently and may be of interest.
