THE CONSULTANT

 Michael Michie, the principal consultant, has had over 30 years experience in the education field in both New South Wales and the Northern Territory. Most recently, he was the principal curriculum officer for the Science learning area with the Northern Territory Department of Education. Prior to that he established the Channel Island Field Study Centre and operated it for seven years.

 He combines experience in designing curriculum, production of curriculum resource materials and professional development, with a strong academic background including research in science and science education. These experiences go beyond the realm of the formal education system and include areas of informal education such as museums, tourism and interpretation.
