Morning T is an excellent example of the Sparkman and Stephens S&S 34 yacht. Built by Maybrook Marine (NSW) in 1986, this yacht represents one of the last of its kind built.
Morning T is registered with AMSA as an Australian Registered ship with its home port of Melbourne, assuring positive identity of ownership.
She was built as a Mk11 model, and is unusual in having the stronger keel stepped mast, saildrive, double spreader tall mast and associated design improvements that further improved this remarkable design.
A number of boats have been modified with Mk11 features, however, Morning T has the engine under the companion-way steps, instead of taking up space in the main cabin, which further enhances her as a cruising boat. The spade rudder of the Mk11 also reduces the "down hill" roll associated with the IOR design.
Morning T is setup for single handed cruising, and is complete and suitable for ocean passage. The S&S 34 yacht has been chosen by people such as Jon Sanders, David Dicks, Jessie Martin and recently Jessica Watson for their single handed circumnavigations.
Morning T is a comfortable yacht, well thought out and equipped. She is fitted with the following options:
