Mark Day has been commissioned by HarperCollins Publishers to produce a book on Australia 2000 for publication in mid-1999. Drawing together the grand themes of Australia 2000 - the Millennium, the Olympics, multiculturalism, reconciliation, the Centenary of Federation and an Australian Republic - Mark Day has driven around Australia to discover the essence of the nation.
