While on a tour of France, Germany and Austria, I had a few days in Paris. These are a couple of stray photographs.

My hotel, Hotel Trianon,

was in the centre of things. Within walking distance were Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre, and shops. The castle of Luxembourg was in our street.

The Eiffel tower was bigger at the base than I had imagined. I was just on a walk, and it looked like going up might require a long wait, so I moved on.

These two shots are of the entrance to the Louvre. The entrance is that pyramid. I was taken with the ancient Egyptian relics in the basement, not only how much of them there were, but how fine the hieroglyphics were.
