A lava flow from Mauna Loa, from 1907. It is the aa
variety, with pahoehoe on top of it. It looks fresh!
Me at the black sand beach.
A view of the Kona coast, just to give an idea of the
landscape. And the sun is out!
And a landscape a bit further on, completely covered
in lava.
The Pololu Valley. We walked around for half an hour
at the bottom, before walking back up and puffing a lot (in my
case).
A rainbow over Kilauea Iki, at the end of our Devastation
Walk.
